Gary Michaels is the new voice on Junction 101.5, and Production Director for GJ Media’s radio stations. He’s a Minnesota native, but not a stranger to living out west. After a lengthy tenure doing radio in MN, Gary took his broadcast career to Colorado Springs and enjoyed the Front Range for a while. He later moved to Houston Texas, followed by La Crosse Wisconsin, and now Grand Junction. Gary has spent a lot of time with artists backstage, and onstage, at various concerts and events throughout the United States. That’s one of the things he loves about his job, meeting and interviewing the artists that he plays, and watching them achieve the success they’re after.
As an avid mountain biker, skier, and paddler, Gary’s ecstatic to be living on the Western Slopes! When he’s not in the studio he’s likely playing on the trails in the beautiful Grand Valley and beyond, or building another bike for his stable!
